Thoughts on "The Course" - Intellectual and Cultural History
I think that it will be very interesting to learn about the intellectual and cultural history of Europe. Secularization is learning and culture includes women being discriminated against and not being able to receive schooling. I like to learn about the advancement in schooling, from going to teaching in the monastery to learning in universities, which would be developments in education and literacy. Changes in religious thought and institutions could include the Reformation, which includes Martin Luther and Lutheranism. Trends in literature and art would include architecture, paintings, and styles of art.
